Over these days we’ll gather to slow down, savour each moment and celebrate in this special setting.
Inspired by the warmth of the land and its rich traditions, our celebration will reflect the spirit of Alentejo. From shared meals under open skies to music and laughter that carry into the evening. We hope you can join us and be part of our celebration.

WEEKEND PROGRAMME
Dress code for individual events is provided below. Ladies should consider footwear given the natural landscape (gravel, grass) and guests are advised to bring a light jacket or jumper where the temperature dips into the evening.
Please note all events are adults only. We appreciate some guests will have children travelling with them, with childcare being arranged. There are limited rooms on-site which can accommodate for children (kitchen space etc).
Guests staying offsite are welcome onto the estate throughout the weekend with transport being provided for all events.
Welcome BBQ
Friday, 18th September 2026
6:00pm, Casa do Ancoradouro
Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, Alentejo
Check in, relax and unwind in the warmth of the Portuguese sun and join us in the early evening for a traditional Alentejano barbecue served with selected wines from the estate. Live music will take us into the evening as we catch up with each other, and friends, ready for a weekend to remember.
Attire: Smart casual (no ties needed). Please consider footwear due to gravel surfaces.
Wedding
Saturday, 19th September 2026
4:00pm, Out in the Vineyards
Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, Alentejo
In the heart of Alentejo, we gather among rolling fields and golden plains for our ceremony, where the late afternoon light casts a soft glow across vineyards and olive groves. Canapes and drinks to follow, for guests to toast our commitment to each other, surrounded by the natural beauty of the estate.
As the sun begins to set, our celebration continues for an elevated dinner close by reception, a chance to slow down and savour the warmth and flavours of Portugal.
The celebration continues as night falls, we continue beneath the stars and the disco balls with a feast of local flavours, flowing wine, and dancing that carries into the warm Alentejo night. Stay to dance the night away and celebrate with us – the night is our oyster.
Attire: Formal — summer dresses and suits (no ties needed). Footwear should be suitable for uneven ground and grass. Guests are welcome to bring more comfortable footwear should the dancefloor await.
Pool Party

To close our weekend, we gather beneath the Alentejo sun for a relaxed afternoon by the pool, where time slows and the mood is effortlessly carefree. Surrounded by vineyards and open skies, we’ll ease into the day with refreshing drinks, light bites, and music that drifts through the warm air.
Expect a laid-back celebration filled with laughter, sunshine, and one last chance to unwind together whether that’s lounging poolside, taking a dip, or dancing barefoot in the grass.
A perfect, easy farewell to a weekend we’ll never forget.
Attire: Poolside chic / swimwear & light linens
We are so grateful to you all for travelling to celebrate our wedding with us.
Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is conveniently located for flight options into either Lisbon (c.2.0hrs) or Faro (c.<1.5hrs). Car hire is recommended for your convenience with taxis/transfers also available.
We expect guest numbers to exceed capacity on-site with other hotel options approximately 20 minutes from site – transfers will be provided for all events. Once guests have RSVP’ed we will be in contact to provide room options, both on and off-site, with preferred locations for transfers below :
